announcements

SERGEANT SHAWNEE SHEP PROMOTED TO LIEUTENANT: the pawpawty sekurity team was founded in june 2009. shawnee was one of the first three officers. by july she had already been promoted to sergeant in recognition of actions above and beyond call of dooty. shawnee haz continued to show her dedication to the pawpawty sekurity team month after month.

1. shawnee haz never missed a pawpawty or an assigned shift
2. shawnee was in charge of sekurity in absence of captain snickers in the month of october and did fabulous job
3. shawnee sews our grate uniforms every months
4. shawnee always has grate and friendly attitude wif everyone. she pawtekts and serves!

in light of her dedication and contribution to the team, shawnee is now lieutenant shawnee shep. congratulashuns shawnee!!

junior officer buddy bentley almost kicked off force: after being promoted from cadet to junior officer last month, buddy was AWOL during january #pawpawty, completely missing his skeduled sekurity shift. sargeant shawneeshep came up with good punishment for buddy that helps everybody! junior officer buddy had to wear a special dunce cap made my the sarge until he could recrewt a new team member for sekurity! buddy recrewted cadet hellahedgie and was able to take the cap off in time for the super bowl festivities.

cadet smokey promoted: after two months of grate service as cadet (and filling in as dokumentashun officer as well during first month) cadet smokey is now officer smokey. congratulations smokey. we glad you joined the team!

cadet mace promoted: cadet mace did a GRATE job last month and haz been promoted from cadet to officer. officer mace is a wonderful addition to sekurity team as he is big and scary and has previous sekurity experience!

cadet recrewting: we haz a FABULOUS sekurity team, but we dont have quite enough anipals to cover every shift each month. we needs one or two more cadets to fill out the team! read duties below and contact captain snickers if you would like to volunteer. sekurity team is fun! oh, and we provide snazzy uniform every month!

december sekurity report is posted by cadet smokey who joined team in december and did great job as temporary dokumentation officer. you can see december report here

new dokumentashun officer starts this month: our wonderful, original dokumentashun officer @lexiloudog went to the rainbow bridge last month. cadet smokey helped us last month, but now we haz a new dedicated dokumentashun officer to write monthly sekurity report. lexi lou’s sisfur buttons (@busybuttons) has volunteered to take over these duties. we know she will do a great job!

new officer transfer: cadet mace (@CheckPointMace) haz joined sekurity team. mace is big doberman dog and has patrol experience so will only be "cadet" for one month. pls do welcome mace to the team!

the pawpawty sekurity team announces with heavy hearts that one of our own haz gone, suddenly and unexpectedly, to the rainbow bridge. for the last four months, we haz been blessed with the mad skillz of dokumentashun officer lexi-lou to keep track of all the silly anipals that tangle with sekurity during pawpawty.

tonight on twitter, lexi’s mom wrote that lexi-lou "had a lot of health problems… The stress of the vet visit today must have triggered an underlying heart problem… she suffered acute congestive heart failure and a pulmonary embolism. Rushed her to the vet around 5:00 CST… She went over RB around 6:00 CST, in my arms. My poor baby girl."

october announcements

hey anipals! sekurity captain snickers here.

i haz a few sekurity announcements from october before i start the planning for november.

• first, the ofishul sekurity report for october is posted over on documentashun officer lexi-lou’s blog. go check it out.
• unfortunately must announce that officers frosty and dew haz been demoted back to cadet due to not reporting for duty at october pawpawty. officers frosty and dew sincerely apologize for leaving pawpawty unprotected though so haz not been removed from sekurity team
• pawty jail bail: starting at november pawpawty if anipals are thrown in pawty jail they can pay bail to get out early. iz totally up to anipal if they pay and how much they pay, not up to sekurity officers. (this is all in fun and to raise money for animal charity after all). to pay bail, you make donation on offishul donation page for pawpawty charity and let your arresting officer know. cadets and junior officers cannot make arrests.

now, ize also want to cover one more thing before starting november skedule… why do we have pawpawty sekurity??? i think some anipals and maybe even some officers are a little confused about why we haz sekurity at pawpawty. well, i tell you the two whys.

1. the first why is because me and mom thought it would help the pawty make more money for charity if somepals job was to tweet the donation link every now and then and also to explain to newcomers what the pawty is and help answer questions
2. the second why is storytelling. i realized at my first pawty that anipals are super good role players and comes up with lots of fun things to do together at pawpawty. sometimes they even make up crazy shenanigans just to get sekurity involved! BOL. since pawpawty happens over 24 hours, it is fun to have report of some of the silliness for peeples and anipals to read later.
3. those are the two big whys. it is also our job to notify @spam if some spammer or nekkid lady tweeter starts using our hashtag to get attention. we only report for real spammers, not just peeples that anipals might not like or somethin like that

there is a lot of things that sekurity is not. those are the things that sekurity is. i hopes that clears up any confusions.

Made announcement that nobody should use beach sand as litter box (as requested by @Dunkin_the_cat)

Broke up cat fight reported and witnessed by @dunkin_the_cat. Contrary to popular belief, @dunkin_the_cat was not involved as he provided fotografik prufe. some evidence

@Kellogghughes was being followed by nekkid laydees – advised on proper blocking procedure some evidence

Elefant what made @ConfuciusCat wipe out on surf board identified but @ConfuciusCat later admitted elefant was nice and did not cause mishap, too much niptini did and he promptly signed up at Nipaholics Anonymous and went straight to meeting.

@GodzillaofJapan threatened to eat some anipals so I showed him wanted poster of @VampireKat and gaved him permissions to nom on him. @GodzillaofJapan said if he could find him, he will nom him.

@ImaJackRussell asked for help getting home because he dranked to much – called a ride for him and he departed safely for home.

Warned @frugaldougal and @SylvieDog no fightings when they wanted to see fight with @SylvieDog and @godzillaofjapan over cookies – @frugaldougal said just kidding

Summonsed @zackrabbit for being a noggty wabbit and mooning the anipals at the #pawpawty. Later reduced to warning when @zackrabbit put his swimming trunks back on and pwomised to behave. some evidence

Rescued @GrandmaStormy when a monster was stuck on her tail and she screamed for help. Turned out to be a lobster. Lobster identified and removed without incident. Mugshot in @ShawneeShep’s twitpic file.

pawpawty sekurity force job description is as follows:

• when you report for duty, tweet the officer you are replacing and let them know you are reporting in. shift schedule is posted below!
• tweet the following (or something similar) several times during your shift: welcome! have you paid your #pawpawty cover charge (donation) yet? pay by credit card http://bit.ly/SQcRm or paypal http://bit.ly/3FImp
• also helpful to occasionally tweet something like if you are new to #pawpawty and need assistance please see sekurity. we cans help
• be sure no one puts the bitey on anyone else ^-,-^
• take reports of misdeeds. make arrests only if necessary to protect safety of anipals (this is the fun part and how we end up with funny incident report later). please include extra hashtag #ppsr in all reports so we can find and compile after the pawty
• put on snarly face to chase off spammers if needed
• haz good time (no niptinis or barkaritas on duty though. sorries!)!
• overlapping shifts is fine! showing up to help out during another officer’s shift is also fine! the more the merrier.
• when your shift is over, make sure you hand off duty to your replacement with tweet of current sekurity conditions.

6/14 12:55 AM EDT: SHIFT CHANGE officer samson went off duty, leaving new officer india in charge

6/14 6:53 AM EDT: @BadAndy_KityKat was mugged by @vampirekat. nip stolen. bad andy wounded in attack. culprit NOT apprehended, but reprimanded. goods not recovered. there is currently warrant out for arrest of vampire kat

6/14 12:00 PM EDT: SHIFT CHANGE officer snickers came back on duty and was happy to find the pawpawty in very groovy state (anipals good pawty goers for most part)

6/14 1:32 PM EDT: grimy duck absorbed too much niptini from noms, ran from nomming booth and went streaking through pawty pursued by manxington. grimy was caught by morriscat and locked back in nomming booth by officer snickers. morris then sang lullabies to calm down grimy while manx pled for leniency for juvenile grimy duck. officer snickers decided to release grimy under manxington’s supervision with probation and community service (time served)

6/14 2:00 PM EDT: pawpawty ended peacefully and on time. goal of over $1,000 earned for romeo’s charity angels for animals.

a warrant has been issued for arrest of @VampireKat in connection with pawpawty mugging. reward of one dozen cookies for tips leading to apprehenshun of suspekt vampire kat. suspekt armed with teeth and claws and considered dangerous

mom haz not had time to let me join the #pawpawty before, but i gets to go this month! a lot of the anipals do stuff at the pawty that animals cant really do – like drink beer and play music and stuff – but thats not how i roll yo (even though just talking to anipals in twitter has already crossed that "cant do" line)! well, moms got that all figured out now. she says i can be security cz i am good at protecting stuff.

so, what is the pawpawty you ask? pawpawty is a virtual party on twitter that happens for 24 hours straight once each month and raises money for charity.

i has changed my twitter icon to the picture you see here. do you like my 80s bling? i wear the cop hat not because it is so village people (which is more 70s anyway) but because i will be head bouncer for pawty this month.

if any anipal wants to volunteer for a security shift, let me know cz i cannots be there the whole time. anipals and their peeples are mostly nice so there won’t be much for bouncers to do except look cool in our police hats. ^-,-^
