And Now

He’s all grown up and he’s my "heart dog."

I never would have guessed that the silly, squiggly, mouthy puppy we brought home back in January 2003 would grow up into such a confident, wonderful adult. He is so self-assured and so loving. He’s reserved with most folks outside the pack, but he turns into such a silly boy when he is greeting one of his favored few (human or canine). There is just so much to love about this guy, I could blog about him for years (and probably will) without covering it all.

Happy Birthday Snickers. I love you.

    Almost forgot about the “Miracle Puppies” birthday! Three years sure did fly! Snickers looks great and always gives me a huge smile and lots of pride when I see him. Big Dylan (macho, brat brother) is out of coat and has come home from the shows until he gets some hair. Ki (wacky sister)has her coat back now after whelping in June and looks so plush. I guess I’ll have to give them each a toy to destroy in two minutes flat. Snickers- here’s a HUGE hug from me! And Bashir- if Teri is reading this- here’s one for you, as well. Black & Tans Rule!!

    Snickers says thanks to all you guys. He got a whole bunch of email from Shiba-L today too. I gave him lots of extra lovin’ from everyone (as if I needed an excuse)!

    He got an EXTRA trip out to the dog run and for a walk around the neighborhood and to the pet store tonight. He got TWO new toys (one like the one he was coveting at his friend’s apartment on Thanksgiving), some new treats, and a couple bones for him and Secret to chew on later.

    After I had a full blown FIRE in my microwave from trying to pop doggie popcorn, Snickers and I played with his new gorilla toy for so long that he was actually TIRED. I wish I had time to play with him that much every day.

    He’s passed out at my feet right now, but he’ll be chomping on his bone soon and then going for a long bedtime walk later, if he wants to.
