Secret’s “Gotcha Day” is coming up soon. On October 1st, she will have been with us for five years. Her coloring has lightened and her features are softer, but the big change is that her worried look is gone.

Secret is really my daughter's dog. Until recently, she traveled wherever my daughter traveled and lived wherever she lived. They've lived in five states together in the eight years since we adopted Secret. My daughter recently left home and struck out on her own though, and Secret, who will be 14 years old in August 2014, is staying with me. We've been spending more time together - snuggling and bonding - since T moved out.
